In demonstration of virtual reality, S.A.students visit foreign lands with cardboard headsets

An excited Schulze Elementary School third grader tore a cardboard headset from her face during a virtual reality demonstration in her classroom Tuesday. “Ah! There’s a seal coming after me!” she shouted to the other girls at her table, pulling the device back on to watch the animal’s approach in 3D. Virtual reality is not not just for video games anymore. As the technology becomes less expensive, it’s likely to make its way into classrooms.
