Alibaba takes aim at virtual reality shopping

Alibaba is set to introduce at this year’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival “Buy+”, the world’s first complete virtual reality (VR) shopping experience. The e-commerce giant promised to virtually transport shoppers to select retail stores overseas and experience the entire shopping process from product selection to payment, all through VR. What consumers see on the VR headset is a 360-degree panoramic view of products during the shopping process.
